We are representing a reputable firm with a significant presence in Canada, looking for a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to work closely with the Director of Finance Operations (North America). This position is ideal for candidates with experience in consumer goods, retail, or the pharmaceutical industry, and offers a dynamic and impactful opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with essential stakeholders to align business objectives and facilitate execution.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for the North American sector.
  • Aggregate financial performance data from regional operations and provide insightful analysis.
  • Ensure internal reporting meets the requirements of business, commercial, and leadership teams.
  • Evaluate sales performance, analyze revenue trends, and monitor marketing conditions.
  • Work directly with the business to refine sales forecasts and enhance KPI accuracy.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of P&L variances between budgets, forecasts, and actual results in monthly reports.
  • Support strategic decision-making with ad hoc reporting on business performance.
  • Champion process improvements, challenge existing practices, and lead transformative changes.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance roles.
  • Industry experience in a cross-functional business partnering capacity.
  • Relevant expertise in financial management, planning, and analysis.
  • Proficient in technology, particularly Power BI and SAP (or similar ERP systems).
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency and effective tactical planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
