We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Sunhouse Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment as needed
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Permanent employment
- 40 hours per week
- English as the primary language of work
