About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Supervisor to join our team at OLD BAGEL HOUSE. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality baked goods, managing staff, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train bakery staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Prepare and bake mixed dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Draw up production schedules and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
Work Environment

The bakery is a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
