As a key member of the Guest Services team, reporting directly to the Manager of Guest Services, Venue Presentation, you will share responsibility for maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of all venues. You will play a vital role in fostering the positive development of the department, its team members, and leadership, as reflected in our guest experience metrics, brand standards compliance, and employee engagement levels.
Key Responsibilities- Set clear objectives, performance metrics, and outcomes for department supervisors and housekeeping personnel.
- Revise and enhance job descriptions, task checklists, and standard operating procedures for all supervisory and housekeeping roles.
- Oversee the usage of equipment and supplies, placing orders as necessary to meet departmental demands.
- Engage with various suppliers to address all aspects related to the housekeeping division.
- Plan, execute, and supervise all deep cleaning initiatives and job cycle projects within the facility.
- Organize training, assign tasks, review performance, and evaluate the work of assigned staff.
- Maintain and prepare essential housekeeping records and reports.
- Delegate responsibilities, implement corrective measures, demonstrate leadership, and motivate the housekeeping supervisory team and staff.
- Supervise with a focus on factual outcomes, provide clear guidance, and promote innovative practices.
- Monitor equipment, tags, and report any deficiencies.
- Conduct building inspections to ensure compliance with MLSE cleaning standards and adherence to established cleaning protocols.
- Review and update departmental health and safety tools, including WHMIS training programs, as necessary.
- Ensure a safe working environment is upheld, with all team members committed to safety practices.
- Guarantee compliance with MLSE service standards and policies.
- Perform additional duties as required.

- Availability for overnight shifts and statutory holidays.
- A degree from a university or college, preferably in hospitality management, is advantageous.
- Experience in housekeeping management with a comprehensive understanding of modern cleaning techniques and equipment is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to supervise, lead, and manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to foster team-building, morale, and a service-oriented culture within the department.
- Experience in an arena or multi-purpose facility is preferred.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a unionized work environment is beneficial.
- Highly organized, energetic, and capable of completing tasks efficiently.
