Vice President of Pricing Strategy

HSB Canada is on the lookout for a dynamic professional to take on the role of Vice President of Pricing Strategy. This position is pivotal in steering the pricing operations for a diverse array of specialty insurance offerings. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments to ensure that our products align with market needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct pricing initiatives for Personal, Commercial, and Specialty insurance lines
  • Employ actuarial and statistical techniques to formulate pricing frameworks
  • Engage with cross-departmental teams to enhance product efficacy
  • Provide in-depth expertise in pricing methodologies and protocols
  • Conduct analysis and projections on product performance
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes
  • Guide and nurture team members in pricing and leadership skills
  • Foster collaboration within the organization and share insights
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet corporate objectives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Over 12 years of experience in actuarial or pricing analytics
  • A minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity
  • Comprehensive understanding of actuarial models and pricing strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and actuarial software
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation capabilities
