Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and enhance pricing strategies across ERGO's diverse portfolio of insurance products.
  2. Conduct comprehensive analyses to determine optimal pricing structures, leveraging actuarial methodologies and statistical techniques.
  3. Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and engineering teams to ensure pricing models are robust and reflect market dynamics.
  4. Advise senior leadership on pricing methodologies and profitability strategies, contributing to high-level decision-making.
  5. Monitor product performance and provide insights to guide strategic adjustments.
  6. Lead research initiatives to develop innovative actuarial solutions for various product lines.
  7. Engage with business partners to align product offerings with profitable outcomes, addressing any concerns or feedback.
  8. Manage timelines and deliverables for pricing projects, coordinating with various stakeholders.
  9. Prepare detailed actuarial documentation to support discussions with management and clients.
  10. Build strong relationships within ERGO and the broader Munich Re Group to share insights and stay updated on industry trends.
  11. Mentor and develop team members in pricing strategies and leadership skills.
  12. Perform additional duties as necessary to support the success of the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field with quantitative analysis experience.
  2. A minimum of 12 years of experience in actuarial or pricing analytics within the insurance or financial sectors, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  3. Professional actuarial designation is mandatory.
  4. At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
  5. Extensive knowledge of actuarial models and pricing techniques, particularly in personal and commercial insurance.
  6. Understanding of market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
  7. Familiarity with both traditional and alternative reinsurance markets.
  8. Proficient in MS Office Suite and actuarial software, particularly R.
  9. Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  10. Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to change.
  11. Ability to mentor others and share expertise effectively.
  12. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
