Position Overview: As a Vice President in Payments Pricing, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the budgeting and forecasting processes, while also driving data and pricing analysis, along with management reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities: Your main duties will involve conducting analyses that inform strategic pricing decisions and developing tools that enhance pricing activities within the organization. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including statistical analysis and problem-solving based on recommendations, as well as the design, development, and maintenance of pricing tools utilized by our sales teams. The Payments Pricing team collaborates closely with various firmwide groups across each line of business to prepare comprehensive management reports and presentations.

Specific Product Focus: This dynamic position operates within a project-based environment, with a specific emphasis on J.P. Morgan Treasury Services, Merchant Services, and Commercial Card. For the Merchant Services segment, the Vice President will be primarily responsible for:

  1. Developing and refining pricing benchmarks through advanced statistical methodologies;
  2. Evaluating current and prospective pricing structures, providing recommendations for adjustments, and establishing approval thresholds for new pricing;
  3. Formulating and proposing new or revised pricing models for market introduction.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead extensive statistical analyses and problem-solving initiatives, while designing, developing, testing, and maintaining pricing tools for our sales teams.
  • Utilize both direct and indirect resources to manage pricing initiatives, including recurring repricing, client maintenance, data modeling, document management, and client communications.
  • Offer strategic guidance on budgeting, forecasting, business performance, and revenue growth through close collaboration with internal partners and stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Billing teams.
  • Analyze data from various sources and work cross-functionally with sales, relationship management, finance, and pricing leadership to devise pricing strategies aimed at enhancing revenue for the J.P. Morgan Payments division.
  • Ensure effective management of Merchant Services pricing for both existing and prospective clients, with recommendations for pricing adjustments and approval thresholds.
  • Oversee governance, risk management, controls, compliance, and profitability management for Merchant Services.
  • Develop visual representations of pricing analytics for executive stakeholders.
  • Support the broader Payments Pricing team with various ad-hoc tasks, such as implementing updates to the Merchant Services Pricing Calculator.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis capabilities, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and experience in large data environments.
  • Proficient in SQL for querying large datasets, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • A team player who is inquisitive and a critical thinker, anticipating the needs of internal clients and management.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • A strong desire to learn quickly, adapt, and think strategically.
  • Ability to navigate and synthesize multiple data sets into cohesive presentations and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Economics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in the payments industry.

Experience with tools such as Alteryx, QlikView, Essbase, Visual Basic, Xceptor, Robotics, Tableau, VB Macros, and/or BI tools is advantageous.
