Role Overview

The Beverage Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the beverage program, ensuring the establishment of high standards while driving sales through innovative promotions and fostering relationships with suppliers. This role encompasses the daily management of the bar operations, including staffing, cost management, training, budgeting, and active engagement during service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive beverage program, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
  • Develop and uphold service and operational standards for the bar, utilizing best practices for efficiency.
  • Lead the creation and updating of cocktail menus, incorporating innovative products while considering cost and service speed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers to source new products and negotiate favorable pricing.
  • Communicate the vision and values of Auberge du Pommier to all team members, inspiring them with a clear direction.
  • Foster strong relationships with guests, team members, and management.
  • Exhibit high levels of integrity and professionalism, promoting the venue positively.
  • Employ conflict resolution and problem-solving skills effectively.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in staff productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Hospitality is an asset.
  • Experience with cocktails is essential; sake and soju knowledge is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality setting.
  • Familiarity with both fine dining and casual bar environments is advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional and contemporary beverages.
  • Experience with new bar openings and setup is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for food, beverages, and exceptional service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a dynamic environment while being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong business acumen and operational insight.
