Role Overview

The Beverage Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the beverage program, ensuring the establishment of high standards while driving sales through innovative promotions and fostering relationships with suppliers. This role encompasses the daily management of the bar operations, including staffing, cost management, employee training, budgeting, and active floor management during service hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete beverage and bar program, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options
  • Develop and uphold service and operational standards for the bar, implementing best practices for efficiency
  • Spearhead the creation and upkeep of cocktail menus, introducing new and exciting products while considering cost and service speed
  • Build and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers to source innovative products and negotiate favorable pricing
  • Communicate the vision to all team members, leading by example and reinforcing company values
  • Cultivate relationships with guests, team members, and management
  • Uphold high standards of personal integrity and business ethics, promoting the venue positively
  • Utilize conflict resolution and problem-solving skills effectively
  • Strive for maximum operational efficiency and continuous improvement of team productivity
  • Perform additional duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Hospitality is an asset
  • Experience with cocktails is essential; sake and soju knowledge is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality setting
  • Familiarity with both fine dining and casual bar environments is advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge of beverages, including traditional and contemporary cocktails
  • Experience with new bar openings and setup is preferred
  • A genuine passion for food, beverage, and service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills in a dynamic environment while being a team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong business acumen
