About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technologist to join our Electrical & Instrumentation team in Halifax, NS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various industrial, water, and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Innovative Design: Contribute to the development of electrical and instrumentation designs for a variety of projects, utilizing your expertise in electrical engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and industry standards.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution, including utilities, equipment suppliers, contractors, and clients.
  • Field Investigations: Assist with field investigations, gathering essential data of existing conditions, and completing field observations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure electrical design documents are coordinated, thorough, and clear, with strong attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Education: A Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: Over 5 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting is preferred, but we are open to candidates with less experience eager to learn and grow.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, with ability to create and edit electrical designs.
  • Collaboration: A collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and pay attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
