We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at TriMac Engineering. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, security, emergency systems, and grounding.
- Project Management: Manage and coordinate electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate electrical engineers and designers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality results.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and code and standards, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
- Education: Registered P.Eng. with Engineers Nova Scotia or another Canadian province.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in designing power systems up to 600V, lighting, fire alarm, communications, grounding, and other related systems for buildings.
- Skills: Excellent technical writing, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code of Canada, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and ability to lead electrical teams to success on multidisciplinary projects.
- CADD Software: Proficiency in CADD software such as Revit, AutoCAD.
- Market Knowledge: Market knowledge and experience in the Halifax Region.
- High Voltage Experience: Experience with medium and/or high voltage electrical transmission and distribution systems.
- PLC Experience: Experience with PLC's and industrial controls.
- Public Sector Experience: Project experience in the municipal, provincial, and federal government public sectors.
- LEED Accreditation: Current LEED Accreditation.
- PMP Designation: Current PMP designation.
