Role Overview
CUI is in search of a seasoned Executive Vice President of Operations to partner with the President and CEO, along with senior leadership, in enhancing the institute's capacity to improve urban life throughout Canada. This role demands a strategic leader who can manage the organization's operational framework effectively and ensure the successful execution of its mission.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise daily organizational operations and staff, including program development, human resources, IT support, marketing, and finance.
2. Collaborate closely with the executive team to realize the organizational vision and strategic objectives.
3. Oversee the annual budgeting process in conjunction with the Finance Team, ensuring sustainable revenue streams.
4. Empower project managers to achieve desired outcomes efficiently and effectively.
5. Cultivate a positive organizational culture by implementing equity-focused employment practices.
6. Lead the recruitment, supervision, and professional development of staff.
7. Develop evaluative frameworks for organizational accountability and performance.
8. Foster relationships with external partners to enhance CUI's mission.
9. Provide regular operational updates to the Board as needed.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 10 years in a senior management role within the non-profit, public, or private sectors.
2. Proven experience in strategic planning and program development.
3. Strong financial acumen, including budget management and reporting.
4. Familiarity with organizational governance and compliance.
5. Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on equity and collaboration.
