About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Convenience Store Manager to join our team at Sue-Gar Variety. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our convenience store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the store, including staff supervision, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer engagement, and drive business growth.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring that staff are equipped to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise.
  • Financial Management: Oversee cash handling, manage budgets, and ensure that financial targets are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or convenience store management role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to lift heavy loads and work in a standing position for extended periods is also required.
