We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Convenience Store Manager to join our team at Sue-Gar Variety. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our convenience store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and competitor activity, informing decisions on merchandise and services to be sold.
- Merchandise and Services: Determine the range of merchandise and services to be sold, including pricing and credit policies, to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
- Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote our products and services, drive sales growth, and increase customer loyalty.
- Financial Management: Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make informed decisions to optimize store performance.
- Recruitment and Training: Recruit, hire, and train staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely payment of staff members.
- Store Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily store operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and excellent customer service.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or convenience store environment.
- Computer and Technology Skills: Proficiency in point of sale systems, inventory control software, computerized bookkeeping systems, spreadsheets, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Analytical, creative, efficient, energetic, integrity, positive attitude, time management, excellent oral and written communication, organized, and ability to multitask.
