Business Development Senior Executive

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Business Development, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing business strategies to preserve and increase McKesson's Retail Banner market share and store count.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead startup projects by identifying potential sites, building a business case, and collaborating with finance, legal, operations, and store design & planning teams.
  • Assess new potential opportunities proposed by current members and present business cases to executives for approval.
  • Manage the full transaction process, including buying and selling pharmacies, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Approach new prospects, leverage networks, and sell the value proposition of McKesson banners.
  • Maintain and develop strong business relationships with executive stakeholders, including banking agents, accounting firms, real estate brokers, and lawyers.
  • Promote brand images and standards to maintain a strong brand image in the market place and member engagement.
Requirements:
  • College degree in administration, finance, or management, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the pharmaceutical or related field.
  • Valid Canadian Driver's License.
  • Strong background in negotiation, territory management, and networking.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
  • Good understanding of the retail pharmacy business model and its relation to profitability is considered an asset.
