Pharmacy Business Development Manager

MCD McKesson Canada Corporation / La Corporation McKesson Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Executive to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expansion in the retail pharmacy market.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of business strategies to preserve and increase McKesson's retail banner market share and store count.
- Assess new potential opportunities for business growth and develop comprehensive business cases to support executive approval.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the full transaction process, including buying and selling pharmacies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging networks and promoting the value proposition of McKesson's retail banners.
- Conduct regular competitive market analysis to ensure McKesson's offers remain competitive.
- Maintain and develop strong business relationships with executive stakeholders, including banking agents, accounting firms, real estate brokers, and lawyers.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A college degree in administration, finance, or management, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- At least 5 years of sales or business development experience in the pharmaceutical or related field.
- A valid Canadian Driver's License.
Competencies
- Strong negotiation, territory management, and networking skills.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Good understanding of the retail pharmacy business model and its relation to profitability.
