The Fleet Operations Supervisor will oversee the procurement, administration, forecasting, and optimization of all fleet resources at Brandt Group of Companies. This position will guide a dedicated team to collaborate across various departments and with external partners to monitor and manage the total cost of ownership of fleet assets. Utilizing data analytics, the supervisor will implement best practices in fleet oversight, maintenance strategies, and operational expenditures throughout the fleet's lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the acquisition and maintenance of fleet vehicles, ensuring they meet safety, reliability, and aesthetic standards as set by Brandt.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the fleet team, analyzing system data and reports to foster consistency and drive improvements.
  • Establish and enforce fleet management policies and procedures, focusing on vehicle usage, fuel efficiency, and driver safety initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, provincial, state, and local regulations governing fleet operations, including licensing and inspections.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to facilitate timely and cost-effective vehicle procurement and service.
  • Keep precise and current records of fleet management activities, including vehicle inventories, maintenance timelines, and fuel consumption.
  • Monitor and report on fleet performance metrics, including lifecycle management, fuel efficiency, and asset condition.
  • Provide support outside of regular business hours as needed.
  • Utilize telematics systems to proactively manage asset costs.
  • Communicate maintenance needs effectively to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate maintenance expenses and repairs, offering expert recommendations for cost management.
  • Assist in budget formulation and oversight.
