BRANCH MANAGER

We are currently looking for qualified candidates for the role of Branch Manager to oversee our operations in the Moncton area.

Irving Equipment Limited is a prominent Heavy Lift and Specialized Transport firm with a varied fleet that includes mobile and crawler cranes, SPMTs, and other specialized lifting and transport equipment.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Branch Manager will be tasked with meeting essential performance indicators and ensuring a culture of safety within the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safety, leadership, and daily management of the Moncton Branch and operations in Northern New Brunswick.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, maintaining clear communication through regular meetings.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with the operations team and clients, ensuring effective communication.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration, attending labor relations meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate operational and administrative tasks to guarantee excellent service delivery to all clients.
  • Engage in long-term strategic planning to provide ongoing value to customers and partners.
  • Evaluate, manage, and inspire all direct reports, emphasizing organization and communication.
  • Collaborate with asset management to assess asset needs for various operational timelines.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for staff and implement necessary corrective actions in conjunction with HR.
  • Maintain client relationships and actively promote tailored solutions, including responding to RFPs.
  • Manage budget planning, revenue, and expenses, ensuring accountability for the financial performance of the branch.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Operations or Engineering, or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field; management experience in construction and unionized settings is highly preferred.
  • Experience in Accounting Management.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications, or equivalent experience in continuous improvement is advantageous.
  • Strong technical expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Proven leadership, team-building, organizational, and change management abilities.
  • Proactive individual with a blend of interpersonal skills and technical knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and inventory management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for managing complex client relationships.
  • Bilingual in English and French is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel within the region may be necessary.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
