BRANCH MANAGER
We are currently looking for candidates for the role of Branch Manager to oversee our dynamic operations.
Irving Equipment Limited is a prominent Heavy Lift and Specialized Transport firm, boasting a diverse array of mobile and crawler cranes, SPMTs, and other specialized transport and lifting apparatus.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Branch Manager will be tasked with meeting critical performance metrics and fostering a culture of safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safety, leadership, and management of daily operations for the Moncton Branch and Northern New Brunswick.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, facilitating ongoing communication through regular meetings.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with the operations team and clientele, ensuring effective communication.
- Encourage a positive work environment and teamwork, promoting a culture of leadership behaviors across the team.
- Coordinate operational and administrative functions to ensure efficient service delivery to all customers.
- Engage in long-term strategic planning to enhance value for customers and partners.
- Assess and motivate direct reports, emphasizing planning, organization, and communication.
- Collaborate with asset management to identify asset needs for various operational goals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement employee development plans in conjunction with HR.
- Maintain client relationships and actively promote tailored solutions, including responding to RFPs.
- Manage budget planning, revenue, and expenses, being accountable for the financial performance of the branch.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Operations or Engineering, or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related field; management experience in construction and unionized settings is preferred.
- Experience in Accounting Management.
- Lean or Six Sigma certifications, or equivalent continuous improvement experience is advantageous.
- Strong technical background is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging at all organizational levels.
- Proven leadership, team-building, organizational, and change management abilities.
- Proactive individual with a blend of interpersonal skills and technical expertise.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for managing complex client relationships.
- Bilingual in English and French is required.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
