Security Systems Technician

Role Overview
The primary objective of this role is to act as a troubleshooting expert and service professional for alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and access control technologies, while fostering strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and resolve issues related to faulty equipment or wiring. Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Johnson Controls security products. Collaborate with customer IT teams to work on their networks. Conduct testing and commissioning of security systems. Oversee the installation and programming of access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems. Provide training to end-users on Johnson Controls systems. Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Certification as an Electronic Technician. Completion of Computer Networking courses and demonstrated proficiency. A commitment to ongoing education and professional development.:
At least 3 years of experience in security installation and/or service, or equivalent experience. Familiarity with ULC standards is a plus. Proficient in computer systems, networking, and operating systems. Mechanical skills and the ability to utilize hand and power tools effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, and the capacity to perform well under pressure. Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to new processes and ideas.:
Valid driver's license is required. Must be bondable, with a criminal record check necessary. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related use (including fuel and maintenance). A driver's abstract will be required. Flexibility in working hours is expected.-
