Role Overview

The primary objective of this role is to serve as a technical expert in diagnosing and resolving issues related to alarm systems, CCTV installations, and access control mechanisms, while fostering strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and rectify faults in damaged equipment or wiring.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Tyco Integrated Fire & Security products.
  • Collaborate with client IT teams to work on their networks.
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of security systems.
  • Perform installation and programming of Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion detection systems.
  • Provide training to end-users on TIFS systems.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Certification as an Electronic Technician.
  • Completion of Computer Networking courses and demonstrated proficiency.
  • A commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in security installation and/or service, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with ULC standards is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, networking, and operating systems.
  • Mechanical skills and the ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to meet deadlines and adapt to new ideas and processes.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Must be bondable, with a criminal record check required.
  • A company vehicle will be provided for work-related purposes, including fuel and maintenance.
  • Flexibility in working hours is expected.
