Security Systems Specialist

Job Summary

The Security Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and servicing alarm panels, CCTV systems, and card access systems, while maintaining positive relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Locate and resolve issues with damaged equipment or wiring
  • Service, install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance and inspections on Tyco Integrated Fire & Security products
  • Collaborate with customers' IT personnel to work on their networks
  • Test and commission systems
  • Service, install, and program access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
  • Train end-users on TIFS systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Electronic Technician Certificate
  • Computer Networking Courses and proficiency
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of security installation and/or service experience or equivalent
  • ULC familiarity is an asset
  • Proficiency in computer operating systems, networking, and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to new ideas and procedures

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be bondable and undergo a criminal record check
  • Company vehicle provided for company use only
  • Flexibility with hours expected to work
