Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Clerk to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to our staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Registration: Ensure accurate and timely registration of patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Scheduling and Communication: Coordinate and communicate appointment information to Diagnostic Imaging staff, patients, physicians' offices, and nursing units.
- Image Management: Ensure pertinent previous images and documentation are available for patient exams and forward images to other facilities as needed.
- Administrative Support: Provide reception duties, answer phones, receive and relay messages, direct visitors, and distribute mail.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete standard forms for registration and billing purposes, type various documents, and arrange meetings.
Requirements:
- A current administered 5-minute typing certificate of 45wpm completed in the last 48 months from an approved institution.
- Proof of completion of a Medical Terminology Course.
- Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work.
