Interior Health Authority is seeking a Relief Part-Time Diagnostic Imaging Clerk to contribute to our dedicated team.


This role involves working various shifts including Days/Evenings: 17:00 to 23:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 10:00 to 18:00, and 15:00 to 23:00 on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will undertake a range of clerical tasks essential to the Diagnostic Imaging department, including:
  • Managing patient registration processes;
  • Coordinating schedules, appointments, and effectively communicating with Diagnostic Imaging personnel, patients, and healthcare providers;
  • Ensuring that relevant prior images and documentation are accessible for patient examinations and transmitting images to external facilities;
  • Arranging pediatric and adult sedation, catheterization procedures, and ambulance transport;
  • Performing reception duties such as answering phone calls, relaying messages, welcoming visitors, and managing incoming and outgoing mail;
  • Completing various standard forms for registration and billing purposes;
  • Typing diverse documents including memorandums, letters, meeting minutes, educational materials, presentations, and statistical data;
  • Organizing meetings by reserving rooms, preparing and distributing agendas, and transcribing meeting notes.
Application Requirements:
  • A current typing certificate demonstrating 45 words per minute, completed within the last 48 months from an accredited institution (non-supervised tests are not acceptable);
  • Proof of completion of a Medical Terminology Course;
  • A resume detailing two years of recent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
  • A cover letter outlining your availability for a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e., preferred days of the week).
