Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Sales Director to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities in assigned territories and industries.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and business strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Identify and develop new targets to increase regional and global business volume in Ocean, Air, and Overland Freight, as well as Value-Added solutions.
  • Follow up and maintain current customers to increase revenue and freight volume.
  • Increase market penetration for the BDP International brand.
  • Engage with Account Management, Product Leaders, and Vertical Heads to develop target accounts within assigned regions.
  • Meet and exceed designated KPIs regarding client visits via the Customer Retention Management system.
  • Engage in market research with sales support teams to increase individual sales pipeline.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in global sales, preferably in the logistics industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Knowledge of Ocean Freight, Air Freight, or Overland Freight in a Freight Forwarding/Logistics company.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
