About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Board 'n' Barrel Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and freshness in our dishes.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Cost Control and Inventory Management
    • Estimate and control food and labor costs to ensure profitability and efficiency.
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure consistency and excellence.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College diploma or equivalent in culinary arts or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a head chef or senior kitchen manager in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions under pressure.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
