Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to be part of our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and enhancing profitability through strategic business initiatives, procurement, and sales achievements. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional service levels to nurture existing accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities in a competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand ABC's market presence and increase volume.
  • Follow up on sales leads from various sources to maximize conversion rates.
  • Participate in meetings and events to foster customer relationships and promote our services.
  • Maintain and update the customer relationship management database to ensure consistent communication.
  • Develop and implement account management strategies to enhance customer loyalty and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure that client service requirements are met and maintained.
  • Promote a strong customer service ethos within the commercial procurement team to uphold ABC's service standards.

Candidate Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven success in sales or account management within the waste recycling sector or a similar service-oriented industry.
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous.
  • A strong team player with a commitment to values-driven work.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
