Your Role

Are you prepared to lead transformative initiatives? In this position, your proficiency in managing intricate water and wastewater projects will play a crucial role in enhancing communities across Canada.

Your expertise in the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure will be vital in advancing water quality and accessibility. Together, we can ensure communities have access to safe drinking water while safeguarding the environment for future generations.

As a Project Director, you will be among our leading technical specialists, focusing on driving business expansion by securing key projects, overseeing complex initiatives, and nurturing growth in essential accounts. You will guide teams assigned to your projects, empowering them to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of quality.

You will be a prominent figure in your field, formulating and executing long-term strategies for sector advancement. With a strong commitment to successful project outcomes, you will concentrate on expanding our key strategic client relationships.

You are a proponent of collaboration, thriving in a dynamic organizational structure. You will take ownership of the company's strategic priorities, translating them into actionable objectives for your project teams. Responsibilities

  • Embody and promote our organizational values and culture.
  • Provide technical expertise and develop strategies to secure key projects in the water and wastewater sector.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for clients and project teams delivering services in the water and wastewater treatment domain.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners with a strong focus on technical delivery.
  • Oversee multiple project teams to ensure successful service delivery on complex initiatives, aligning with client satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of team members.
  • Establish a strong national presence in the water and wastewater sector, staying informed about industry trends and challenges.
  • Lead and expand a portfolio of business aligned with financial targets.
  • Act as Account Manager to enhance key strategic accounts in your sector.
  • Foster a culture of quality and adherence to Quality Management System standards in project execution.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of best practices and standards within the profession.
  • Encourage a culture of delegation and empowerment through effective workforce management.
  • Promote national expertise through thought leadership and speaking engagements to position Colliers as a leader in the field.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in managing large-scale projects in the water and wastewater treatment sector, with recognized specialization.
  • Relevant professional industry credentials are considered advantageous.
  • A well-established network of industry contacts and involvement with regional industry associations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling proposals and succeed in competitive interviews.
  • A positive attitude and energetic approach to work.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary across Canada.
