CB Canada is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Banquet Operations Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service. This role encompasses hands-on management of the food and beverage department for banquet services, overseeing the execution and monitoring of banquet operations, ensuring compliance with all standards and procedures, managing banquet food and beverage labor costs, and fostering a motivating and educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall management and profitability of banquet services, including reviewing banquet setups, event orders, and team assignments.
  • Ensure outstanding service delivery to all guests by focusing on employee training, performance management, and effective leadership.
  • Enhance productivity through strategic scheduling and supervision of team members.
  • Manage payroll and labor cost analysis.
  • Monitor inventory levels, handle ordering and purchasing, and maintain precise log records.
  • Promote and market banquet services effectively.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement strategic banquet plans and provide expertise to both internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate with theater and casino operations to optimize food and beverage efficiencies.
  • Assist in all food and beverage outlets as needed.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment of banquet staff and departmental meetings.
  • Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of recent supervisory experience in a comparable Banquet Food and Beverage role.
  • A certificate in hospitality or restaurant management is advantageous.
  • Highly energetic, motivated, and creative individual.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on employee training and development.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications such as FoodSafe Level 2 and Serving it Right License.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record and credit check may be required.
  • Commitment to exceeding customer expectations through effective and timely communication.
