Banquet Porter

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Banquet Porter to join our Food and Beverage team at CB Canada. As a Banquet Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our banquet rooms and theatre, providing exceptional service to our guests, and working collaboratively with our team to deliver an outstanding experience.

• Room and Table Setup: Assist with setting up banquet rooms and theatre, including moving furniture and ensuring all necessary equipment is in place.
• Food and Beverage Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, including serving food and beverages, and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas, and ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked.
• Buffet and Coffee Station Setup: Set up and maintain buffet stations and coffee stations, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
• Bartending Duties: Assist with bartending duties as required, including serving drinks and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
• Clearing Tables and Restocking: Clear tables, remove glasses, and restock as required, ensuring that all areas are clean and tidy.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other servers and team members to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including health and safety protocols.

• Experience: Previous experience in a food and beverage environment, with banquet experience an asset.
• Certifications: Serving It Right, Smart Serve, or IGB certification, or the ability to obtain a Serving It Right Certification.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and bend, squat, and move with ease.
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
• Customer Service Skills: Fantastic customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
