Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our Banquet Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Execution: Assist in the overall success of the Banquet Department by executing strategies for service goals and employing leadership and management skills effectively.
  • Communication: Review all written communications (BEO's, room/station assignments, room set ups, etc.) and adjust accordingly, communicating all changes with the Banquet Department.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Check all staffing needs for upcoming events and ensure that all convention specifications are met.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain a strong client relationship and ensure that all convention specifications are met.
  • Pre-Function Briefings: Conduct pre-function briefings to ensure grooming standards of team members are met and inform staff of specific needs for buffet and receptions.
  • Station Allocation: Allocate stations, team partners for staff, and review banquet event orders.
  • Team Support: Provide daily support and guidance to fellow banquet team members as well as monitor job performance.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management and report all maintenance, repair or housekeeping concerns to the appropriate department immediately.

  • Knowledge of Products and Services: Have a commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests.
