Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Coordinator. This role will provide support to our Project Manager in overseeing the construction of homes, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, material ordering, and trade management.
  • Monitor daily trade functions, ensuring timeliness, quality of workmanship, and completion of work.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards, and homeowner expectations.
  • Assist in resolving construction problems and ensuring smooth production operations.
  • Communicate effectively with trade partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records, including production schedules, material inventory, and quality control reports.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the homebuilding industry, preferably in a construction management or assistant role.
  • Valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle.
  • Experience with construction management software, such as BuildPro, is an asset.
  • Strong technical understanding of homebuilding processes and Ontario building codes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
