We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Payroll Tax Specialist to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our global mobility team, you will play a critical role in providing expert payroll tax advice and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and plan expatriate payroll compliance needs for clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll remittances.
- Process and review full-cycle payroll processing for multiple clients, including medium to high complexity payrolls that involve multiple provinces, payroll cycles, business numbers, and cross-border transactions.
- Prepare payroll gross-up tax calculations and conduct research on payroll tax topics, including non-resident certification, withholding waivers, and taxable benefits.
- Liaise with government departments on behalf of clients to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all paperwork and remittances are completed accurately and on time.
- Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on the latest payroll tax regulations and best practices.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in expatriate payroll, with a strong understanding of Canadian payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with year-end tax form production, CRA, and MRQ.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Intermediate PC computing experience and proficiency in MS Office applications.
