Payroll Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Compliance Advisor to join our team at Elby Professional Recruitment Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing payroll knowledge, support, guidance, and training in the interpretation and implementation of Canadian payroll legislation to our clients.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing accurate, current, and verifiable information, guidance, and assistance to our clients on payroll compliance and related subject matter
- Communicating and reviewing inquiries and/or problems that require in-depth research and/or specific expertise with our Compliance Services Manager
- Supporting and sharing knowledge to cross-train colleagues to retain valuable intellectual capital within the organization
- Conducting and delivering corporate training as required to organizations requesting customized payroll training
- Updating and maintaining personal development seminars, including speaker notes, PowerPoint, seminar content, workbooks, questions, and answers for legislative changes, accuracy, correctness, and improvements
- Providing compliance content updates and revisions for the three payroll courses of the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) program
- Participating in government Readability sub-committee to review Federal and Provincial guides, publications, IT Folios and CPP/EI Explained documentation
- Monitoring Federal and Provincial legislation and analyzing budgets for respective jurisdictions and communicating with the Compliance Services Manager and team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To speak French
- PLP or enrolled in preferred, but open to those who possess the appropriate experience
- A solid end-to-end payroll background
- Strong technical skills and a solid grasp on compliance knowledge
- To be open to working in a hybrid or remote capacity, with a preference for candidates local to Toronto
