Community Communications Liaison

About the Role:

The City of Iqaluit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Community Communications Liaison. This vital role will serve as a link between residents and the organization, ensuring effective communication and customer service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect residents with city services and support
  • Coordinate city communications and customer service delivery
  • Advocate for Nunavut Inuit and local residents
  • Solve customer service issues and participate in process evaluations
  • Develop materials for internal and external audiences

Requirements:

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Communications, Cultural Studies, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years' work experience in municipal, Territorial, or Federal Government or not-for-profit environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Professional writing skills and computer literacy
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Iqaluit's history
