About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Community Social Services Worker with the Department of Family Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and services to individuals and families in need, while promoting community well-being and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prevention and intervention services to individuals and families
  • Support adoptions and child welfare services
  • Act as a liaison between community resources and the Department of Family Services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Social Work, plus 1 year of practical child protection experience
  • A valid class 5 driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 4 months of hire
  • A Vulnerable Sector check
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Child and Family Services Appointment
