About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work as a Community Social Services Worker with the Department of Family Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and services to individuals and families in need, while promoting community well-being and resilience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prevention and intervention services to individuals and families
- Support adoptions and child welfare services
- Act as a liaison between community resources and the Department of Family Services
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma in Social Work, plus 1 year of practical child protection experience
- A valid class 5 driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 4 months of hire
- A Vulnerable Sector check
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Child and Family Services Appointment
We offer a competitive salary package, including:
- Base salary range: $93,582 to $106,208 annually
- 37.5 hours/week
- Subsidized furnished accommodations
- Relocation assistance
