Position Overview: The Community Training Facilitator plays a crucial role in the coordination and implementation of training initiatives within the community, aligning with the objectives of the Training and Inuit Success Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Coordination: Oversee the organization of various training programs, including the Work Ready Program (WRP) and Employment and Training Information Sessions (ETIS). This involves managing logistics, participant registration, and ensuring smooth execution of events.
  • Logistical Management: Coordinate all necessary logistics for training activities, such as arranging travel for trainers and participants, securing venues, and managing catering and accommodation needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Baffinland Community Liaison Officers (BCLOs) to promote upcoming training events and ensure adequate participation.
  • Data Management: Capture and document all training-related data, generating monthly reports that analyze past activities and outline future initiatives.
  • Financial Administration: Assist in obtaining quotes and processing invoices for vendors involved in training programs.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with community members and various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Inuit culture and experience as a Nunavut Land Claims Beneficiary is advantageous.
