Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Community Health Coordinator to join our team at the Government of Nunavut. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and providing leadership to Community Oral Health Coordinators, promoting oral health education and prevention activities, and working with various healthcare professionals to improve the oral health of children in Nunavut.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide leadership to Community Oral Health Coordinators
  • Develop and implement oral health education and prevention programs
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve oral health outcomes
  • Travel to communities to provide support and training to Community Oral Health Coordinators
  • Function as a liaison between the community, region, and territorial healthcare system
Requirements
  • Recognized diploma in office administration, dental services, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in office administration, dental services, or a related field
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Registration as a Dental Therapist or Dental Hygienist (asset)
  • Fluency in Inuktut, English, or French (asset)
  • Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, and land (asset)
