Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, and microbiology.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or equivalent.
- Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or health authority environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A competitive hourly wage rate of $36.69 - $45.70 per hour.
