Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure laboratory standards are met
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by following laboratory safety protocols
Requirements
  • Completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologist program or equivalent
  • Registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
