We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate test results
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure laboratory standards are met
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologist program or equivalent experience
- Registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems and software
- A competitive hourly wage rate of $36.69 - $45.70 per hour
