Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Interior Health Authority. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide laboratory results and recommendations.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and techniques.
- Completion of a Medical Laboratory Technology program from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A competitive hourly wage rate of $36.69 - $45.70 per hour.
