Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Relations Liaison to join our team at WRHA Corporate. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conflict Resolution and Complaint Management: Facilitate conflict resolution and complaint management for complex and sensitive situations, ensuring that all concerns are addressed in a timely and impartial manner.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, providing support and guidance to patients and families navigating the healthcare system.
  • Communication and Liaison: Serve as a primary liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of concerns.
  • Quality Improvement: Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify areas for quality improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient experience.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to healthcare providers on patient relations, conflict resolution, and complaint management.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyze and report on patient relations data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, such as health/social sciences, communications, or health information services.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience working directly with patients and families, with a minimum of 3 years in a patient relations or advocacy role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, requiring frequent travel to healthcare facilities throughout the province. A valid Manitoba driver's license and use of a personal motor vehicle are required.
