Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Transport Coordinator to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients and medical equipment within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Patients and Equipment: Safely transport patients and medical equipment to various locations within our facilities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare staff to coordinate transportation and equipment needs, ensuring seamless communication and efficient logistics.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Respond to unexpected situations and adapt to changing priorities, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and flexibility.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards, and successful completion of on-the-job training programs, including Cushman Cart Training and lifts and transfers training.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the role, including constant walking, lifting, bending, and pushing/pulling of equipment and patients.
