Role Overview

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Facility Maintenance Assistant is responsible for conducting routine inspections, performing minor repairs, and maintaining the overall functionality of equipment and facilities. This role includes tasks such as floor maintenance, basic woodworking, plumbing assistance, and executing deep cleaning protocols in line with established standards. The position also involves managing logistics related to the procurement and distribution of supplies, as well as assisting with room setups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs and upkeep of the premises.
  • Execute deep cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Manage the logistics of supply shipping and receiving.
  • Assist in the setup of rooms for various activities.

Qualifications

  • Completion of high school or relevant coursework.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar maintenance role.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and ensure cleaning tasks meet quality standards.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and other materials.
  • Potential for shift work, including weekends.
