Job Title: Senior Privacy Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Privacy Analyst to join our team at T-Net British Columbia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive health information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct current state assessments of privacy needs through engagement with clients and communities.
  • Develop procedures for electronic health solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Advise clients on customizing privacy policies and provide training on privacy-related topics.
  • Develop a Privacy EMR Toolkit/framework, including governance, accountability, requirements, legislation, and evaluation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and workshops to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Canadian Health Information Management program or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a privacy role, preferably in a health sector or IT environment.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) Certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and concepts.
  • Excellent business, analytical, research, presentation, writing, and communication skills.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Familiarity with BC's information privacy laws, including the e-Health Act, Personal Information Protection Act, and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of health terminology standards and risk countermeasures.
  • Knowledge of privacy-enhancing best practices and records management systems.
