About the Role

B.S.S. Excavating Ltd. is seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck and performing various tasks related to the transportation and delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload materials from the dump truck, taking care to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the dump truck, including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Inspections and Oversight: Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle and oversee all aspects of its operation.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle remains in good working condition.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Experience: Experience as a dump truck driver is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
