About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team at B.S.S. Excavating Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck and performing various tasks related to the transportation and delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Load and unload materials from the dump truck, taking care to ensure accurate and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the dump truck, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe driving practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and to address any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Experience with dump trucks and heavy equipment operation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Physical stamina to perform the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and working in a fast-paced environment
