About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team at STAR EXCAVATING LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport materials and equipment to and from our excavation sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate a dump truck to transport goods and materials to and from our excavation sites, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from the dump truck, ensuring accurate and efficient transfer of materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the dump truck, including brake adjustments and preventive maintenance.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring effective communication and coordination with our team.
Requirements
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence: Possess a valid Class 3/3F/DF licence for operating a trailer truck or vehicles with more than 3 axles.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a dump truck driver or in a related field is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 32 to 35 hours per week.
