About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team at CHELA TRANSPORT LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • Dump truck experience an asset
  • Flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability and team player
Working Conditions
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) weight handling
  • 32 to 35 hours per week
